A bit about Plano
Plano is a city mostly located in the Collin County of Texas, northeast of Dallas and southwest of McKinney. According to the 2010 census, the city is the ninth most populous city in Texas with 269,776 people in the area of over 185 km². Home to many major corporate HQs, Plano is known to be one of America’s wealthiest cities. HQs such as Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, J.C. Penney, Pizza Hut, Huawei, and many more.
With rental stations all over Texas, Plano is easily reachable even from the other cities such as Richardson, Irving, Addison, and of course Dallas. Arbor Hills Nature Preserve
This natural beauty is a 200 acre park located on the western border of Plano, great for outdoor activities such as walking riding, hiking, jogging, and playing fetch, or just simply relaxing and having a picnic. With three distinct ecoregions, namely; Blackland Priarie, Riparian Forest, and Upland Forest, the area is perfect for any and every one looking for some peace.
Heritage Farmstead Museum
Everyone from the city needs to at least once experience what it is to be on the farms, living there and caring for the cattle. This 4.5 acre piece of land takes you back to the old school times of farm life in Texas. Not only do people get a chance to play with and feed the animals, but also they may host a camp, a lunch, a party, as you wish.
Historic Downtown Plano
A great place to hang out and unwind as you watch the locals go about their days as you take yourself back and imagine what the place must have been like when it was founded in the 1800s.
