FAQ
How can I pay for my rental car?
Payment for a rental car should preferably be made by credit card. It is possible to pay by debit card, however at the rental counter you will need a credit card issued to the main driver in order to secure the deposit for your rental car.
Who is allowed to drive the rental car and what are the conditions?
A rental car can be driven by a main driver, that is the person registered in the booking. Additional drivers may be added to the reservation at extra fee. The main and additional drivers are to present a valid driving license, which they have been in possession of for at least one year (please refer to the rental conditions), and a valid identity card/passport. Additionally, the main driver is to present a valid credit card issued in their name.
Do I have to pick up and return the car at any time? What happens if I am late for pick-up?
We recommend that you pick up the car at the agreed time as the availability of the car cannot be guaranteed in case of a delay. As a rule, local suppliers keep vehicles available up to 30 or 60 minutes after the agreed time. If a delay is inevitable, please contact the rental agency (you will find their contact details on the voucher).
What documents are required to pick up the vehicle?
When picking up the vehicle, the main driver is to present the following documents: the printed voucher, their identity card or passport; their driving's license and their valid credit card.

Tanzania, the Swahili country

Tanzania is the largest country in East Africa. It is bordered by Kenya and Uganda in the north, Rwanda, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo in the west, and Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique in the south.

The central territory is mainly characterized by a large plateau. In the north you can find many mountains such as the Kilimanjaro and the Great Rift Valley, as well as the Great Lakes region. However, the eastern area that overlooks the Indian Ocean, as well as the Zanzibar Archipelago, has the typical characteristics of an equatorial region. Tanzania is a country rich in geographic extremes, such as the highest point (the Kilimanjaro), the lowest point (on Lake Tanganyika) and the largest lake (Lake Victoria) of the African continent.

Tanzania is nice to visit throughout the year because, under the equator, the meteorological weather is mild and pleasant. The coldest months fit with the Italian summer: from June to October temperatures range from 10 ° C from the northern highlands to 23 ° C on the east coast, making this period one of the best times to visit the beach destinations such as Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar thanks to the warm sunshine during the day and the fresh ocean night breeze. There are also two rainy seasons per year: from mid-March to late May and during the month of November to mid-December.

The history of Tanzania is full of stories of the native population. About triumphs and battle, victories and peace. Ever since the first century after Chr. the territory of Tanzania was the goal of the desire of many peoples. This is due to the perfect location: the pleasant warm climate throughout the day and cool at night, the indulgence of the Indian Ocean and the fertile highlands. In the 1800's Arab traders resided in Tanzania. The first decided to settle in Kilwa (south of Dar es Salaam) and build a port to boost overseas trade while another group settled on the island of Zanzibar. In the ethnic mix of Arabs and Africans, the Swahili culture led to. In the colonial period, Tansania became German first and then English. Tanzania became an independent state on December 10, 1963.

Swahili culture is one of the richest cultures in Africa due to its numerous ethnic groups. In Tanzania more than 100 different languages are spoken, of which Swahili is the most important. As a result, the country can boast different art forms, such as painting, sculpture, folk dances, music and literature. Lovers of indigenous cultures appreciate Tanzania, not only for its spectacular landscapes, but also for such a mixed culture is so unique.

A visit to the famous Ngorongoro nature reserve, an ecosystem that has arisen within the same-name volcanic crater is also worth a visit. It features small lakes and ponds, forests and even a savannah, causing the crater to host a large number of animals such as flamingos, lions, elephants, zebras, gnomes, hippos, baboons, hyenas, buffalo and the rare black rhino , which have now disappeared from the rest of the continent.
